1. What happens to a person after they die?

  • Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

  • Eze 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die.

  • Psa 145:20 The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

  • Rev 20:14 -15 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

  • And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

  • 2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

  • Psa 9:17 The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.

2. Is eternal life a free gift or something I can earn?

  • Tit 3:5 -6 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

  • Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

  • 1Pe 1:18-19 ...ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold... But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

  • Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

  • Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

  • Rom 3:24 -6 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

  • Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

  • To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus


3. Who is Jesus Christ?

  • Mat 16:15-16 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

  • John 10:30 I and my Father are one.

  • 1Jn 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

  • John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?

  • Joh 1:1-2 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

  • The same was in the beginning with God. (read Jn 1)


4. The word "Gospel" means "Good News." What is the good news?

  • 1Co 15:3-4 ...Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And...was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

  • 1Ti 1:15 ...that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;

  • 1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

  • Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

  • Rom 5:6-8 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

  • For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

  • But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.


5. When did you become a Christian?

What led you to Christ?

The Bible talks about accepting salvation by faith. Is there a time in your life when you have done that?

  • Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

  • Rom 3:28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.

  • Act 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

  • Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

6.  Can one know his sin is forgiven before he dies, or does he have to wait until after he dies?

  • Eph 1:13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,

  • Rom 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:


7. How can one can get rid of his sin and guilt before God?

  • Isa_53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

  • Act 13:39 And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses.

  • 1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:

  • 1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

  • Heb 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.


8. Why does God allow sin and suffering in the world?

  • Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death;

  • Man's choice to sin brought the curse upon all men

  • Rom 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

  • Rom 5:15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
